Travel by night

The most convenient and comfortable way to travel between Krakow and Vienna is to catch the direct night train. This train carries have 2nd class seats, couchettes (seclected dates), and sleeping cars with 1-, 2- or 3- person standard compartments. Sleeping cars have individual beds, along with a wash basin and room for luggage. You can book just one bed in a Double or Triple, but compartments are gender-specific unless you book the entire compartment. The price includes pillow, bedding and blanket. The car attendant can provide complimentary morning coffee/tea and a snack. Couchette compartments are always mixed-sex. The price includes pillow, bedding and blanket.

Three daily direct daytime trains link Krakow and Vienna. Departing morning and early-afternoon, you can travel in 1st or 2nd class directly from city centre to city centre.
