As Thalys trains stop in the very centre of major cities, you can step from the train and go immediately to your business meeting or start your sightseeing tour. You can also transfer direct to onward train services to other parts of Europe, on SNCF, Deutsche Bahn or Eurostar.

 

Tickets on Thalys services are available at a wide range of prices, but generally prices rise as the travel date draws nearer. Tickets can be booked up to 3 months before travel, and the lowest prices can be found at that time. Thalys also offers discounts for youths under age 26, children, seniors, families with children, as well as groups. Discounts are also available for Eurail and InterRail pass holders.

 

On board the train you will find a buffet car serving hot and cold dishes, including vegetarian options, as well as snacks and drinks. In the buffet car you can also purchase public transport tickets for Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam, Cologne and Aachen.

Thalys travel options

When booking your Thalys trip, you will have three service options: Standard, Comfort and Premium (from 10 December 2017). No matter which you choose, your super-fast Thalys train journey will be comfortable, quiet and relaxing.

Standard (2nd class)

• comfortable reclining seats
• an electrical power point at each seat, so that you don't have to worry about your battery

• access to cafe bar
• a family area, separated from the rest of the carriage
• a baby changing area with a special table, sink and bottle warmer
• Standard fares = changes to your booking can be made for a fee, 50% refundable. Standard Mini fares = no changes, no refunds

Comfort (1st class)

• comfortable reclining seats in a cozy and quiet atmosphere
• an electrical power point at each seat, so that you don't have to worry about your battery
• free WiFi
• a wide assortment of international newspapers and magazines
• access to the VIP lounge in Cologne, Essen, Amsterdam, Schiphol Airport i Rotterdam
• possibility to book La Salon, a private on-board space for working meetings (for up to 4 persons)
• on the Paris - Brussels route you can order a taxi to pick you up from the station in Paris or Brussels
• changes to your booking can be made for a fee, 50% refundable.

Premium (1st class)

• meal & drink included in the fare & served at your seat

Purchasing Thalys tickets

You can purchase tickets directly in our office. We can also accept internet orders. Your tickets will be sent to you in electronic format by e-mail, or you can retrieve them from a ticket machine at any of the main stations served by Thalys.
